Most standard single-phase and three-phase installs are booked in within 5 to 10 days. If a switchboard upgrade and Energex approval are needed, allow 2 to 3 weeks. Solar-integrated installs such as a Zappi usually take 1 to 2 weeks from quote to handover.

You can, but it is slow. A standard 10 amp power point adds roughly 10 km of range per hour, and running it for long periods puts strain on older wiring. A dedicated Level 2 wall charger on its own circuit adds roughly 40 to 100 km of range per hour and is the safer option for daily charging.

Some installs do, particularly larger chargers, three-phase upgrades and solar-integrated systems. As a licensed electrical contractor (Licence 90211), we check whether approval is required, prepare the paperwork and lodge it with Energex for you, so the install stays within network limits.
